Celebrating the Moon Day/Space Exploration Day

This time it is rocket science and that too for school kids. FIITJEE Global School, Chennai & Vellore, presents SPACEOUT – a rocketry workshop where kids from Class 5 and above will learn basics of rocket science, perform fun activities in teams, try to build an air-powered rocket and chemical powered rockets and many more. Kids will be given a kit to build their rockets. The most fun part of the workshop is launching all the DIY rockets.

When Neil Armstrong stepped down onto the moon’s cratered surface with the words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind” every nation on earth seemed to breathe a collective sigh of relief. National Moon Day celebrates the historic lunar landing on July 20, 1969. By successfully establishing a presence on the Moon, we enhanced our preparation to explore the rest of our solar system — and beyond! Landing on the moon was a huge step for mankind and our understanding of the great realm we exist in. Let’s learn the importance about that day on 24th of July, 2022.

Knowledge is boundless and so is its quest. However, the quest of knowledge has always been portrayed as a difficult terrain, discouraging students. This is where quizzing as an activity has become more relevant. Quizzes are fun & promotes our knowledge which in turn make students confident. It also helps students to learn the value of patience, determination, hard work and self-discipline.

  1. The timing of the workshop is 10:00AM to 5:00 PM
  2. The participants are expected to bring their lunch. Lunch can be arranged with nominal charges, on prior intimation.
  3. Refreshments will be provided to the participants in the evening
  4. Participation can be Individual or through School.
  5. Participants should bring School ID card/Valid proof to ascertain the class they are studying in.
  6. Participating Students must come in school uniforms.
  7. Quiz will be conducted through a Quizing app
  8. Students must possess a Mobile phone or a Tablet device with active internet connection.
