Robo Expresso – An Inter FGS Robotics Championship was held at FIITJEE Global School, Vengambakkam, Chennai on 27th of August 2022.

Robotics teams from FGS Vellore campus participated and competed with the Robotics team of FGS Chennai Campus

The event started with the honorable chief guest Mr. Iyyappan Madasamy - CTO & Director, IMRobonix Private Limited, Lighting up the lamp followed by a speech to the students. Through the speech, our chief guest had helped our students understand about Industrial Robots especially in the medical field. Post the speech the Robo Expresso meet was declared open by waving the checkered flag.

The first event was Robo Expo where the teams from Chennai and Vellore came along with their robots and spoke about their team and robots.

Chennai team had won the toss and chose Green Track over the Red Track for racing

Post this, the Qualifiers round for Treasure HuntBot took place and Race the Royce event took place

In the afternoon session, our event was graced by our chief guest Dr. G. Suganya (Associate professor, Deputy Director Software Development Cell, VIT Chennai). Our chief guest shared her wisdom and enlightened the students and parents on the importance of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.

Post this there was a quiz for audience.

Students outside FGS had participated in the Robotics Quiz and top 10 winners were awarded with an ESP 32 Controller board (ESP32 is a series of low-power system on a chip microcontrollers with integrated Wi-Fi and dual-mode Bluetooth.)

In the event Treasure HuntBot, students from grade VII to XI had built a Bluetooth controlled robot and participated in race. Top 2 teams from Chennai (Team Binary Brigade and Team Robo Kings) and top 2 teams from Vellore (Team Warriors and Team Brain Storm) where taken for the final round of Treasure HuntBot. In this Round, teams solved technical clues and reached the final destination.

  1. Team Binary Brigade from FGS Chennai represented by Mst. secured the Gold
  2. Team Robo Kings from FGS Chennai represented by Mst. Karan, Mst. Yudit, Mst. Hari keshav, Mst. Shravan secured the Silver
  3. Team Warriors from FGS Vellore represented by Mst. Tharun Eshwar, Mst. Monith Krishna, Mst. Sanjayan, Ms. Vayala Ram Charan secured the Bronze

Under the Category of Best Design in Treasure HuntBot

  1. Team Binary Brigade from FGS Chennai represented by Mst. secured the Gold
  2. Team Global Mech from FGS Vellore represented by Mst. Vivin Aditya, Mst. Tarun Sai, Mst. Hanish, Mst. Sahith secured the Silver

In the event Race the Royce, students from grade V to grade VII had built a DPDT controlled racing robot.

  1. Team Vanquishers from FGS Vellore represented by Mst. Vishwaa, Mst. Praneath, Mst. Roshan Praveen, Mst. Nivas secured the Gold
  2. Team Immortal Racers from FGS Chennai represented by Mst. Varun, Mst. Pranith, Ms. Hashini, Ms. Praveena secured the Silver
  3. Team Rocket Rockers from FGS Vellore represented by Ms. Anu Rakshitha, Ms. Dhivya Darshini, Ms. Tejaswini, Mst. Prithvi secured the Bronze

Under the Category of Best Design in Race the Royce

  1. Team Cyber Squad from FGS Vellore represented by Mst. Hemanth, Mst. Mounish, Mst. Monish, Mst. Gautham secured the Gold
  2. Team Vanquishers from FGS Vellore represented by Mst. Vishwaa, Mst. Praneath, Mst. Roshan Praveen, Mst. Nivas secured the Silver

There was Digital Flag Hoisting Ceremony to declare the overall winners
